Over at the launch of Acer Day 2019 earlier today, Acer Malaysia has unveiled a number of new products including the PM161Q Portable Monitor. With a thickness of only 2cm and weighs less than 1kg, users only need just one USB Type-C cable in order to utilize the monitor.
Of course, this still depends on whether the source device has enough juice to also power the monitor via the same USB Type-C port. If the situation calls for it, PM161Q can also be powered through its Micro USB port.
Equipped with an IPS panel which provides it with 170-degrees viewing angle, the 15.6-inch portable display also has a native resolution of 1920 x 1080. However, it is not exactly designed for gaming though especially since the PM161Q has a refresh rate of 60Hz and 15ms GTG response time.
Meanwhile, PM161Q is equipped with its own integrated stand and Acer has also provided it with a protective sleeve right in the box. Comes standard with a 3-year on-site warranty, the new PM161Q portable monitor will be available in Malaysia starting from September for RM 599.
