Another month, another set of free games for PlayStation Plus subscribers. And if the free games of August are of any indication, it looks like we’ll be taking a short trip back in time.
The first game in this month’s highlight is WipEout Omega Collection. This is essentially a remaster of two games, WipEout HD, a PS3 game, and WipEout 2048 for the PS Vita. The former also contains content from older WipEout games from 2005 and 2007.
Next is Chronicles of Teddy: Harmony of Exodus. While not an old game itself, this 2015 indie title is a side-scrolling action-adventure game reminiscent of the earlier Metroid and Castlevania titles.
These two games will be available to download from 7 August to 3 September. Until then, you should also pick up July’s free games if you haven’t done so already. Also, starting this month, Sony Interactive Entertainment has increased the price of PlayStation Plus subscriptions.
