Laptops aside, ASUS also announced a pretty interesting product at Computex 2019. It’s one that belongs to the ROG line, and it’s the ROG Strix XG17 portable monitor.
First, let’s look at the details of the ROG Strix XG17. As the number in the name suggests, it’s a 17.3-inch Full HD IPS portable display, with a refresh rate of 240Hz. Other features include a built-in speaker, a battery life of three hours, as well as micro-HDMI and USB-C connectivity.
The ASUS ROG Strix XG17 will be useful for those who find that a 240Hz refresh rate is an absolute must. It can also be useful for use case scenarios where a second screen would be helpful, with streamers coming to mind. The XG17 will also serve as alarger display for mobile games, or for the Nintendo Switch.
ASUS has yet to announce the local pricing for the ROG Strix XG17, or when it will be available in our shores. We’ll be sure to let you know once we know more.
