Huawei Y7 Pro 2019 Goes Official: A Mid-Ranger Powered By Qualcomm Snapdragon 450

Despite being called 2019 models, we have actually seen several new Huawei Y series devices even before the new year sets in with the release of Y9 2019 and Y Max in Malaysia last month. Over in Vietnam, the company has also recently released another model called Y7 Pro 2019.

At a glance, the new phone looked rather identical to the new P Smart 2019 that Huawei released in Europe recently especially with its teardrop-shaped notch which also houses a 16MP selfie camera. At the same time, the Y7 Pro 2019 also features the same design language and 13MP + 2MP dual rear camera as well as 3GB of RAM.

However, the Y7 Pro 2019 is actually equipped with a larger 6.26-inch display but with a lower resolution than P Smart’s display at HD+. The new phone is also powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor instead of Huawei’s own Hisilicon Kirin chip.

The Y7 Pro 2019 also has half of P Smart’s internal storage at 32GB although is equipped with a much larger 4000mAh battery. Price-wise, the new phone can be obtained for VND 3,990,000 (about RM 712) although at this moment we have no knowledge whether it will be released in Malaysia or otherwise.
