Boxing Day which takes place on 26 December is not something that we usually observed here in Malaysia. Nevertheless, that doesn’t stop NVIDIA from having a Boxing Day promo at its official online store for Malaysia on Lazada.
Through this particular promo, you are able to obtain an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB graphics card for RM 999. Despite the promotional imagery, no, the store is not offering the Founders Edition card though. Yes, we too feel that is quite a bummer.
Meanwhile, the reason why this promo is being called mystery box (or bag, depending on respective promotional posters) is that you will receive a random GeForce GTX 1060 6GB card that is made by either GIGABYTE, MSI, or ZOTAC. Additionally, the card will also be accompanied by a random gift and if you purchase the mystery box early enough, you would also receive a 120GB ADATA solid state drive.
In the grand scale of things, RM 999 is not exactly far off from the current average price of GeForce GTX 1060 6GB in Malaysia. In fact, you can actually purchase a GALAX GeForce GTX 1060 6GB OC through the GeForce Malaysia’s store itself for the same price.
Nevertheless, you might want to decide quickly though since the promo will only last until 28 December 2018.
