ViewSonic Announces M1 Portable Projector; Retails For RM1349

ViewSonic has announced the M1 portable LED projector. It’s small and light enough to be carried around, and it doesn’t sacrifice features for it either.

For a start, it comes with an internal battery that provides, and ViewSonic claims, six hours of projection. Its brightness goes up to 250 lumens and has a contrast ratio of 120000:1.

The stand that it comes with can rotate the full 360 degrees, and when it covers the lens it powers the M1 down. This also extends as a safety feature, and powers down the lens whenever an object gets too close.

And since the stand can go anywhere around the projector, you can also choose to project into the ceiling. And they auto keystone also ensures that you don’t have to make adjustments every single time you adjust the M1. There is a focus wheel next to the lens as well, when it’s needed.

Audio is no slouch either, since the M1 projector comes with two Harman Kardon speakers. You can even turn it into speakers by turning the LED off.

In terms of connectivity, it comes with a microSD slot, a USB Type-A port, a USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm jack and a HDMI port. Of them all, the USB Type-C is the most versatile, as it allows for streaming as well as charging, when the projector is plugged in. If you’re not interested in using any of the ports, the ViewSonic M1 also comes with 16GB of internal storage.

The ViewSonic M1 is now available in Malaysia at an SRP of RM1349. Aside from authorised distributors, you can also get them from ViewSonic’s official Lazada and 11street stores. Additionally, it looks like both online stores are selling the M1 at RM1299 at the time of writing.
