Less than 24 hours after we reported the official launch of the Kingston’s gamer-centric HyperX FURY RGB and SAVAGE EXO SSDs, we’ve managed to obtained confirmation that the HyperX FURY RGB SSD will in fact, be arriving on our shores sooner on 1 October 2018.
The launch date was provided to us by Amble Action, the official distributors of HyperX products in Malaysia, after a simple Q&A over Facebook. Besides the official availability of the FURY RGB SSD, the distributor also provided us with the official SRP for the lineup’s storage variants. Pricing starts at RM510 for 240GB, RM840 for 480GB, and RM1490 for the variant with 960GB.
As a quick recap, the HyperX FURY RGB SSD that comes in a standard 2.5-inch form factor. It operates via a 3D TLC NAND and a Marvell 88SS1074 controller, and has sequential read and write speeds of up to 550MB/s and 480MB/s, respectively. It also comes with built-in RGB LEDs, which Kingston says can be customised and daisy chained to sync with other RGB-capable components.
The HyperX FURY RGB SSD will be available for purchase at all authorised HyperX resellers and IT stores. Alternatively, you can also purchase the SSD via the brand’s official Lazada online store or Shopee when it becomes available on 1 October. At the time of writing, there is still no additional information about the availability of the HyperX SAVAGE EXO external SSD.
