NVIDIA RTX Technology To Be Supported On Battlefield V, Shadow Of The Tomb Raider, Metro Exodus, PUBG, and More

At the global unveiling of NVIDIA GeForce RTX series graphics cards yesterday, the company has also revealed the list of game titles will be able to make full use of NVIDIA’s real-time ray-tracing technology. Part of the list are several upcoming triple AAA titles that will be launched very soon.

The game titles in question are EA’s Battlefield V, Deep Silver’s Metro Exodus, and last but not least, Square Enix’s Shadow of the Tomb Raider. Battlefield V is slated for a 11 October launch this year with open beta to take place next month, while Shadow of the Tomb Raider will be available across all platform on 14 September this year. Metro Exodus will only be available next year, with its current release date set for 22 February 2019.

However, real time ray-tray tracing is just part of the picture as GeForce RTX cards also supports another tech called Deep Learning Super-Sampling (DLSS) which fused together artificial intelligence and graphics rendering to deliver smoother edges on objects in games.

Among games that will be supporting DLSS includes existing titles such as PUBG and Final Fantasy XV. Here is the full list of games that will be able to take advantage of these new graphics technologies enabled by GeForce RTX graphics cards:

Given the extensive relationship that NVIDIA has with game developers, expect the list to grow over time. Meanwhile, the game has also unveiled a number of game trailers during its event yesterday which showcased its RTX technology in action.

If NVIDIA is able to play its card right, these trailers might be serving as the starting benchmarks for video games graphics in the near future.
