Just few days after posting a teaser on its official Facebook page, NVIDIA has launched its own official online store for Malaysia last weekend. While it might carry the company’s, the new store is rather different from existing NVIDIA’s official online store in other markets such as United States, and United Kingdom.
For starters, NVIDIA didn’t personally host its Malaysian online store. Instead, it is located on Lazada Malaysia and at the same time, the product line-up on the NVIDIA GeForce Official Store is also different than what you might have seen on other NVIDIA official online stores.
The selections for graphics cards on NVIDIA GeForce Official Store on Lazada are limited to GeForce cards made by OEMs. In other words, you not able to purchase NVIDIA’s own Founders Edition cards through the store which is a bummer since you can do that through other NVIDIA online stores.
Other type of cards including Titan and Quadro as well as NVIDIA’s official t-shirts are not available through the store too. That being said, the NVIDIA GeForce Official Store on Lazada does offer Battlebox-certified gaming desktops in addition to gaming laptops and G-Sync monitors.
Despite being so different from its official online stores for other markets, the existence of such store for Malaysia could be seen as NVIDIA’s acknowledgement of our market. Just that we believe its offerings should be more substantial and unique though, so that it can differentiate itself further than common IT retailers.
