Ahead of its upcoming Predator launch event and roadshow in Sunway Pyramid, Acer Malaysia has revealed the price for the new Predator Helios 500 gaming laptop for our market. Originally launched at Acer’s global event in New York last month, this pretty much confirmed that the event later this week will mark the laptop’s debut in Malaysia.
To be available with two set of specs, the price of the laptop starts at RM 8999 for the variant with Intel Core i7-8750H processor, 16GB of RAM, and 256GB PCIe NVMe solid state drive. For the beefier model which will be obtainable for RM 12999, it comes with Intel Core i9-8950HK processor, 32GB RAM, and 512GB PCIe NVMe solid state drive.
Both variants share the same 17.3-inch full HD IP display which feature 144Hz refresh rate and support for NVIDIA G-Sync technology. They also come standard with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 8GB graphics card, and 1TB hard drive.
Meanwhile, the brochure that we received from Acer also pointed out that customers that purchased any Acer products worth RM 1800 and above at the roadshow will get the chance to win the limited edition Captain America Aspire 6 laptop.
As you might be able to recall, the laptop was part of the Acer’s Avengers: Infinity War collection that was launched earlier this year. The Helios 500 as well as the newly refreshed Helios 300 and Nitro 5 which will also be making appearance at the event are clearly eligible for this lucky draw.
