Originally announced back in April alongside the new 8th Gen Intel Core H-series processors, the latest iteration of Acer Nitro 5 is now in Malaysia. Its arrival in our market takes place rather quietly though as we’ve only noticed it through a listing by a local retailer; just like the Acer Predator Helios 300 that we reported earlier.
Designed for customers that looking for gaming-grade laptop without the need to break their bank, the components that Acer has equipped into the Nitro 5 are quite modest. In addition to its 15.6-inch full HD IPS display, we are looking at NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050, 4GB DDR4 RAM, 1TB SATA hard drive, and 48Whr battery.
However, customers can choose to obtain the laptop with either Intel Core i5-8300HQ or Core i7-8750HQ processor. This particular option will indeed determine the actual price that they have to pay for the laptop, as what you can see above.
According to the listing at TechHyperMart, the standard retail price for the Core i5 variant of the Nitro 5 is RM 2999 while the Core i7 model goes for RM 3599. That being said, the retailer is selling them for slightly less though which means that the street prices for these laptops might be different from one store to another.
