HTC Malaysia has announced that the company will kick off the pre-order program for its Desire 12 and Desire 12+ smartphones on 26 April. Interesting enough, customers who pre-order through this program which will be held exclusively at Shopee will be able to get their hands on these device for less than their normal retail price.
Specifically, the Desire 12 will go for RM 599 while the Desire 12+ can be obtained for RM 729 through the pre-order program. As a comparison, these phones will instead go for RM 739 and RM 899 respectively once they are released into the market.
Originally launched a month ago, the Desire 12 and Desire 12+ are generally mid-range phones with HD+ display. Despite having the same display resolution, the Desire 12+ has slightly larger display at 6-inch as compared to Desire 12 which is equipped with 5.5-inch display instead.
The Desire 12+ is also powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor and comes standard with 13MP + 2MP dual camera on its back alongside 8MP front camera. On another hand, the Desire 12 runs on MediaTek MT6739 processor and also features 13MP rear camera together with 5MP front camera.
Both of these devices are equipped with 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage. Despite the variety of colors shown above, the first batch of Desire 12 and Desire 12+ in Malaysia will only come in Warm Silver and Cool Black.
Nevertheless, do plan ahead though as HTC Malaysia stated that only 1,000 units will be made available for this special pre-order program.
