Xiaomi Malaysia has confirmed that it will be releasing additional variations of Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus into our market later this week. While there will be no change to their general specifications, these new models will offer different memory and internal storage configurations as compared to the variations that were made available in Malaysia few weeks ago.

At the moment, only Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus with 3GB of RAM as well as 32GB internal storage are available in Malaysia. With this confirmation by Xiaomi Malaysia, this means that consumers will be able to get their hands on Redmi 5 with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage as well as Redmi 5 Plus with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage soon.
