It has been a while since we heard about new products from the Joi division of SNS Network which is IT distribution and retail company based in Ipoh, Perak. As it turns out, the brand has actually announced a new device earlier this month in the form of Joi 7 Lite LTE tablet.
Despite sharing the same name as per another tablet that the brand released in 2015, the new Joi 7 Lite LTE is a different product altogether in terms of design and internal hardware. For example, the 2018 model is much slimmer at 8mm although somehow heavier than its 2015 counterpart at 248g.
Additionally, this year’s model also carries a MediaTek MT8735P processor as opposed to the Intel Atom chip inside the 2015 iteration. The new model also carries double the amount of storage than its 2015 predecessor at 16GB alongside a larger 3400mAh battery and LTE connectivity.
Nevertheless, there are indeed several characteristics that SNS Network has retained for the 2017 model. Among them is the 7-inch IPS display although it has a much higher resolution at 1280×800. Not to forget, the Joi 7 Lite LTE also still features 1GB of RAM which is rather small for a device that is released in 2018.
Price-wise, the new Joi 7 Lite LTE can be obtained immediately for RM 449 from GLOO retail stores throughout the country.
