While it does face some issues from time to time, there is no denying the fact that Lazada Malaysia is a giant in the scene as there are so many things you able to purchase from the popular e-commerce site. But a car? Well, that’s a first.
Right in time for the second part of its Online Revolution on 12 December, there will be 12 Volkswagen Beetle up for sale on Lazada Malaysia on that very day. Not just any Beetle though as all of them are limited edition, some even features Herbie 53 design that was derived from the lovable (and sentient) 1963 Beetle that was the star of Disney’s The Love Bug.
Following the theme, these cars will be sold off with a cool looking price tag of RM 112,112 which is apparently 18% lower than their standard retail price. However, they will only be offered in Peninsular Malaysia and the method of purchasing them is not exactly straight forward as per normal items which does made sense since normally you would not just swipe RM 100,000 on your credit card.
All in all, it is part of marketing collaboration with Volkswagen Malaysia. But then again, if this promo pans out well for the e-commerce site, it could be another opportunity for Lazada to expand its reach.
