Moto X4 Lands in Malaysia for RM1,899

Motorola Malaysia has just launched two new smartphones on our shores, and one of them is the Moto X4. In comparison to Motorola’s other offerings this year, the X4 has a couple of neat features, including dust and water resistance.

In terms of positioning, the Moto X4 is right between the Moto Z2 Play and the recently launched Moto G5S Plus; its price tag certainly reflects this. But compared to the more feature-rich Z2 Play with its Moto Mods, the X4 is arguably the better-equipped smartphone.

The Moto X4 comes with a 5.2-inch Full HD display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 chipset – a newer SoC compared to the Z2 Play’s and G5S Plus’ Snapdragon 625 – paired with 4GB of RAM, 64GB of expandable storage, a 3,000mAh battery, IP68 rating, as well as Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box.

Of course, the Moto X4 also comes with a dual-camera system: it’s made up of a 12MP dual autofocus pixel sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide angle shooter. The front-facing camera, on the other hand, is a 16MP snapper.

The Moto X4 is available immediately in Malaysia for RM1,899. While it’s not the most affordable mid-range smartphone, the X4’s feature set may be worth its asking price.
