Whether you like it or not, leaks have become norm these days especially as you get closer to launch day. As for ASUS who about to launch its new ZenFone 4 series next week at what expected to be a star-studded event in Taipei, a massive set of leaks took place few hours ago mainly through its own online store in France.
In general, the leak further strengthen the fact that the ZenFone 4 series will come in several variants. Just like previous generation of ZenFone smartphones, there is the titular base model as well as a very specific model made for users that love to snap selfies.
In terms of physical design, we already had an early look of the ZenFone 4’s base model earlier this month. However, the new leak brought out more than just photos of them as it also provides the list of hardware that ASUS has implemented into the smartphone:

According to additional sources, this is not the flagship model within ZenFone 4 series which is rather expected given its mid-range processor. Instead, the honor will go to ZenFone 4 Pro that will apparently carry Snapdragon 835 and 6GB of RAM.
As for ZenFone 4 Selfie, it seems that ASUS is going out of their way to satisfy selfie lovers by implementing dual front cameras on the phone. The leak showed that the dual front camera setup for ZenFone 4 Selfie is a combination of 20-megapixels and 8-megapixels sensors.
There is also a higher end model called ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro which offers 24-megapixels and 5-megapixels combination instead. Both of these dual front cameras are also accompanied by an LED flash.

Price-wise, ZenFone 4 is listed at EUR 499.99 (about RM 2,526) while ZenFone 4 Selfie and Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro will be made available for EUR 299.99 (about RM 1,516) and EUR 399 (about RM 2,017) respectively. Since smartphone’s pricing in Europe is usually higher than Malaysia, we expect these smartphones to be much more affordable when they made their way into our market.
