Intel has officially announced that it will unveil the 8th Generation Intel Core processors later this month. While this announcement seems to be coming out of nowhere, we have been expecting this announcement for quite some time given the recent surge of leaks and rumors regarding these upcoming processors for the past one month or so.
Nevertheless, this announcement is in line with Intel’s plan to release the 8th Generation Intel Core processors within the second half of 2017.
Meanwhile, there are not much information that Intel has shared in its announcement today. That being said, the company did claim a number of things such as the 8th Gen Intel Core is the company’s most powerful family of processors to date and will feature “blazing fast” performance.
Intel will also provide a sneak peek on several systems that are equipped with the new chips. The unveiling event will be broadcast through Facebook Live on 21 August at 11pm Malaysian time which is quite interesting in itself.
