PersonEDGE, one of Malaysia’s leading players in social media marketing, has announced that the company has been granted a license for its planned expansion into Vietnam. The company expects to be operational as early as September 2017.

Pioneered and focused on strategic planning, managing and executing highly effective social media marketing plans for international and local brands, PersonEDGE has successfully made its presence known as one of the top social marketing agencies in Malaysia with major clients to boast such as SK II, Asus, Nivea, Dior, and other well-known global brands.

Choo Mei Sze, founder of PersonEDGE, said that expanding their network to Vietnam is a highly strategic move, as the market in Vietnam is seen as one of the emerging markets in Asia with a rapidly increasing mobile penetration rate for the past 5 years.

“Our expansion into Vietnam marks a milestone moment in the growth of PersonEDGE, as we introduce our sophisticated services to new audiences,” said Choo Mei Sze, founder of PersonEDGE.

“With digital media growing at a significant rate in the country, and the increasing use of mobile devices particularly among the younger generation, expanding to Vietnam is a sound decision as the focus now is more on digital-driven campaigns, combining both online and social media formats,” she added.

PersonEDGE’s expansion will be led by strategist Shirley Wong, to manage the Vietnam office including the hiring of more than 10 new positions in account servicing, content, business development, and corporate partnership roles. The company strongly believes that by expanding to Vietnam, Malaysian or international brands (currently collaborating with Malaysian businesses) can further build their network presence and penetrate the growing market in Vietnam.

“As an independent and fast-growing company, we are committed to grow alongside our customers and partners to help them gain a strong footing in an ever-changing and competitive landscape,” Mei Sze concluded.
