Energizer and MYDIN are bringing back the “Shop In The Dark” contest, but with a twist to the experience. The, now, annual contest was first launched back in 2016 by Energizer and MYDIN, where shoppers will get a chance to shop (in the dark) and win prizes. This year, instead of shopping in dark shopping isles, shoppers will instead shop through a VR machine.

To qualify for the Shop In The Dark VR campaign, customers will need to show a proof of purchase from MYDIN, with a minimum of RM10 spent on Energizer or Eveready products from the 1st of April to 30th of May 2017.

Energizer and MYDIN’s Shop In The Dark VR roadshows will be held in four states across Malaysia. The list is as follow:

  • MYDIN Hypermarket USJ, Selangor – 5th to 7th May 2017
  • MYDIN Hypermarket Pelangi Indah, Johor – 12th to 14th May 2017
  • MYDIN Hypermarket Senawang, Negeri Sembilan – 19th to 21st May 2017
  • MYDIN Hypermarket Bukit Mertajam, Penang – 26th to 28th May 2017

Apart from the on-ground roadshows, customers can also submit their entries either by mail or through the Facebook Digital contest. There will be four winners from the roadshows, five winners from mail-in entries, and one winner from the Facebook contest. Each of these winners will win an eight-minute shopping spree at MYDIN USJ in July. Contestants can fill their shopping cart with almost everything (restrictions applicable) and Energizer will pay for the bill up to RM3,500 each.
