Choice is usually a good thing and for OPPO, it usually comes in the form of multiple colorway. If you are not a fan of the existing Gold, Rose Gold, and Valentine Red colorways for OPPO R9s, then do note that the smartphone will soon be available in Black. In fact, the pre-order for the new colorway has just opened in Malaysia.
Apart from the matte black finish, we are pretty much looking at the same R9s that was launched in our market earlier this year. This means that the R9s Black Edition also carries the 5.5-inch full HD AMOLED display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, and 3,010 mAh battery with the support for the company’s own VOOC Flash Charge feature.
The dual-SIM smartphone is also equipped with Sony IMX398 16-megapixels sensor for its rear camera which provides it with dual PDAF feature. The camera also comes with f/1.7 lens and LED flash while there’s also another 16-megapixels sensor on its front facing camera.
If you need another reason to get the OPPO R9s Black Edition aside from the new color, pre-order customers will also receive the WeLoop Now 2 Smart Band (shown below) which was released into Malaysia around the same time as per OPPO R9s earlier this year.
