MacBooks don’t get discounted very often, but it seems like Switch – a local Apple reseller – is offering a promotion of its own for Apple’s range of laptops in Malaysia. These include the 12-inch MacBook, the MacBook Air, as well as the MacBook Pro; some models retail at RM400 less too.
The most affordable of the bunch is naturally the 13-inch MacBook Air, but it also receives the lowest RM288 discount. The 128GB model now goes for RM3,911, while the more practical 256GB Air retails at RM4,711.
And then we have the 2016 12-inch MacBook; all four colours – Space Grey, Silver, Gold, and Rose Gold – receive a RM400 price cut. The base model with 256GB of storage can now be purchased for RM5,099, while the 512GB model is priced at RM6,299.
Last but not least is the most powerful MacBook in this promotion, the MacBook Pro. Note that this isn’t the latest generation MacBook Pro: it’s the older – but still more practical – 2015 model. The 13-inch model with 128GB of storage is currently going for RM5,099, while the beefier 256GB 15-inch model with 16GB of RAM goes for RM8,099.
Aside from the price cut, Switch is also offering 0% instalment on these MacBooks, but only with the purchase of Apple Care. The retailer is also offering RM100 rebate on Microsoft Office.
