Spotify and Waze Partners To Let You Easily Navigate and Listen to Music in a Single App

Spotify and Waze recently partnered up to make it easier for you to listen to your favourite music while navigating on Waze, and vice versa. The companies are updating their Android apps to integrate each other’s services, so you can discover music while on Waze, and start navigating with Waze from within Spotify.

When you are navigating on Waze, you will see a new Spotify logo located at the side. Tap on the logo to load your playlists on Spotify along with some recommended music just for you. After that, just tap on an album and play your favourite tunes without leaving the Waze app at all. You can also rewind, forward and pause your music from the Waze app.

For Spotify users, there is now a shortcut to Waze that sits right at the top of the screen. It will also show you your navigating details. Once you’ve gotten your music playing, just tap “Go to Waze” and navigate to your next destination. “With no interruptions, you can navigate to your destination right within the Spotify app allowing you to still listen to all of your favourite hits while on the road.

Spotify and Waze

This update is only available for Waze and Spotify apps on Android devices (sorry iOS users). It should be available right now but if you don’t see it yet, just be patient and check back on the Play Store later. Of course, you will have to grant the apps access to each other’s apps, and log into your accounts.

Do note that while it’s easier to access your music when using Waze, never fidget with your phone while you are behind the wheels. Set everything before you start driving, or stop at a safe place to use your phone again should you wish to change your destination or pick another song. Check out Spotify for more information.
