OnePlus 3T Likely to Be Launching in Malaysia Soon

It has been a good four months since the OnePlus 3T was officially announced, and the device may just be launched right here in Malaysia (officially) very, very soon now. If we look back at the timing of the now-discontinued OnePlus 3‘s local availability, the OnePlus 3T may be available on our shores sometime next month in April 2017.

Turns out, the OnePlus 3T was registered under Brightstar Malaysia earlier this month on SIRIM. In retrospect, the OnePlus 3 was registered with the certification body – also under Brightstar – in July last year, and it was officially available for purchase in the following month.

If the same pattern persists with the OnePlus 3T, we may very well be looking at an April launch month for the 3T. Of course, this is merely an educated guess at this point in time, but it’ll certainly be great if the device will be launched here in a timely manner – not that four months is a short period of time.

Compared to the OnePlus 3, the OnePlus 3T packs a faster Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor, a bigger 3,400mAh battery, as well as a better 16MP front-facing camera. Other hardware of the 3T remain unchanged, including a 5.5-inch 1080p Optic AMOLED display, 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM, 64GB – or 128GB – of non-expandable storage, and a 16MP rear camera with optical image stabilisation.

At the time of this writing, there’s no indication from Brightstar Malaysia or OnePlus Malaysia on the Malaysian availability of the OnePlus 3T. Hopefully, it won’t be long until the device is officially sold here.
