If there is a feature that iflix might really need, that would be the ability to watch contents in HD. That apparently will change soon though as the service is about deliver that very capability very soon.
This is based on the media invite that we received earlier today regarding an upcoming event whereby iflix will showcase HD contents to journalists for the very first time. No other information was provided with the invite although as you can see below, that The Magicians which an iflix-exclusive show as well as a Samsung Galaxy S7 edge were prominently featured in the invite.
Meanwhile, this is not actually the first time that we heard about HD resolution on iflix service. Last year, it was revealed that selected contents within the service were actually made available with HD resolution although iflix’s official FAQ still stated that it is working to deliver HD resolution to users.
In general, this should a good news to iflix users everywhere although we are still curious whether the service will have separate charges for HD contents. So, stay tuned for further details from iflix next week.
