If you are someone who constantly finds it difficult to pick one photo or video to share on Instagram, here’s a piece of good news for you. Instagram has just updated its app, allowing users to share up to 10 photos and videos in one post.
This is not exactly a brand new feature. About two years ago, Instagram introduced the ability to share multiple photos in one post however, it was limited to advertisers only. Back then, they said that they would bring the feature to everyone else and if you’ve been waiting for it, here it is. This is perfect for sharing your favourite moments of your friend’s surprise party, or a step-by-step instruction of your favourite meals.

Once you get the update, when you try to upload a photo, you will see a new icon to select multiple photos and videos. Just tap on it and you can select up to 10 photos and videos. After that, just tap and hold to change the order, and apply a filter to everything at once, or edit one by one. These posts can have a single caption and are square-only for now.
Posts with multiple photos and videos in your profile grid are indicated by a little icon located on the corner. In the feed, you will see blue dots at the bottom indicating that you can swipe and see more. Finally, you can like and comment on these posts just like a regular post.
The update is available as part of Instagram version 10.9 for iOS and Android devices and will be available “over the next few weeks”.
