Brightstar has built its strong reputation in Malaysia since 2006 mainly through its phone distribution business for several well-known brands including Apple, BlackBerry, HTC, Motorola, and OnePlus. A week ago, the company has shared a rather curious image on its Facebook page regarding an upcoming but unnamed smartphone.
Alongside the image, there is also a set of two huge promises: equipped with components that will impress consumers and an attractive pricing. It goes without saying that these are certainly two of the most important factors that consumers would usually consider before committing to a product.
As the basic design of the smartphone is rather generic, it is really hard to relate the teaser to any specific manufacturer. Even when compared to Brightstar’s current list of clients as shown above, the teaser image still doesn’t seem to be related to any of them.
There is one suspect though based on our search through SIRIM’s database: Avvio L660S which was listed on the database early last month. However, we were not able to find any information regarding this particular product (even through Avvio Mobile’s official website) apart from it being an LTE-enabled dual SIM device.
Meanwhile, Brightstar Malaysia didn’t mention any specific date on the teaser for the company to reveal the product to consumers. With that, guess we’ll just play the waiting game then until the time comes but nevertheless, do share with us your guesses in the comment section below if you believe that you able to relate the image above to any smartphones or brands.
