Having recently announced its own range of gaming peripherals, Fnatic has announced that its range of Fnatic Gear products will soon be available here in Malaysia. Ranging from a gaming mouse, mechanical keyboard and two mouse mats, will all be sold in stores beginning next month.

Announced just a few months back via a global crowdsourcing campaign on Indiegogo, the Fnatic Gear products were the result of the e-sports team’s acquisition of Swedish gaming peripheral company, Func.

Combining professional players’ input with Func’s expertise in gaming gear, Fnatic Gear is touted as “professional-grade” that are “designed, tested and endorsed by pro gamers for e-sports”.

Every product from Fnatic Gear is designed to be minimalist with no frills, giving users everything they need, and nothing they don’t. That means no outstanding designs or fancy LED lighting across the board, which may be a welcome thing for some gamers.

There are currently four Fnatic Gear products, and they’ll all be made available in stores in Malaysia very soon. These include the Flick gaming mouse, the Rush mechanical keyboard, and the Boost and Focus mouse mats.

The Flick is an ergonomic gaming mouse made with a soft rubber coating. With only five buttons, this is a mouse clearly designed for FPS gamers – even the “Flick” name is inspired by mouse movements made by FPS players.

It runs on the Pixart 3310 optical sensor that’s popular among high-end optical mice due to its “perfect” scrolling and zero acceleration properties. There’s also a drag-reduction cord, and onboard memory that supports up to three player profiles.

Meanwhile, the Rush mechanical keyboard is a full-sized backlit mechanical keyboard. Using genuine Cherry MX switches (available in Blue, Brown and Red options), the keyboard offers high-end tactile feedback regardless of choice of switch.

The Rush also has onboard memory for player profiles including macros, custom key bindings and LED lighting. In addition, the Rush also packs two USB ports at the back, and a removable wrist rest. Not to forget, there’s also a “Fnatic Mode” key that disables the Windows key (in case of accidentally pressing it in-game) and enables macro settings on virtually any key.

Finally, the Focus and Boost mouse mats are cloth and hard mouse mats, respectively. The Focus is a 3mm cloth mouse mat that features a “pro-grade tracking surface”, a non-slip grip, and a textured surface that’s engineered to improve control for more precise mouse movements.

On the other hand, the Boost hard mouse mat is made from a thin piece of polycarbonate designed with an arc shape that reflects the natural movement of the elbow to the arm, wrist and hand. The Boost actually comes in two models, each with different textures to increase movement or precision. Naturally, they’re called Speed and Control textures. It was not mentioned during the launch which Boost model will be available in Malaysia.

Here are the official retail prices of the Fnatic Gear products, inclusive of GST:

Flick gaming mouse: RM229
Rush mechanical keyboard: RM539 (all switches)
Boost hard mouse mat: RM89 (L and XL sizes)
Focus cloth mouse mat: RM69 (L), RM89 (XL), RM119 (XXL)

All Fnatic Gear products come with a standard two year warranty against manufacturing defects, and will be available in selected retailers nationwide beginning March 2016. So far, 11 retail chain partners have been selected to sell the peripherals, with more to come.
