Grab Malaysia

While they might be run by the same company, MyTeksi and GrabCar are two opposing services in nature as one of them being a taxi booking service while the other one is a ridesharing (or private car, according to some) service. While both services can be obtained through the same app for quite some time, today they have been merged into one single brand called Grab.

At the same time, the Malaysian-born company has also rebranded itself from MyTeksi to Grab. Not surprisingly, the company has also released an update to their existing apps to reflect the new branding.

Grab Malaysia For Android

While these apps still have the same functionalities, it now comes with new interface that is apparently designed to deliver smoother experience. In addition to that, the new Grab app is also equipped with tagging feature that allows users to separate their personal and business rides easily. Not only that, the app is also now able to predict users’ destination based on their usage behaviors.

Of course, these app still can be used in Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, The Philippines, and Vietnam just like its predecessor. However, we realize that the new update for both MyTeksi and GrabCar apps is only available for iOS at the time this article is published even though the screenshots above which were shown on Grab’s official website clearly came from its Android app.

Given how Grab already using its new branding on its official website and social channels, we guess it is only a matter of time before similar update made its way to Grab’s Android app.
