Samsung Galaxy A Series (2016)

After it was officially unveiled to the world two months ago, the 2016 version of Samsung Galaxy A Series will be making its debut in Malaysia very soon. According to the media invite that has just landed in our inbox, the launch is scheduled to take place on 28 January 2016.

Just like the 2015 edition, Samsung has decided to come out with three different models under Galaxy A Series (2016). Leading the series is the Galaxy A7 (2016) which features 5.5-inch full HD Super AMOLED display and is powered by a 1.6GHz octa-core processor alongside a 3GB RAM.

Apart from having 3,300mAh battery, it is also equipped with 16GB internal storage and supports microSD card with storage of up to 128GB. Photography-wise, the Galaxy A7 (2016) relies on a 13-megapixels rear camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and f/1.9 lens as well as another f/1.9 5-megapixels camera on its front.

Meanwhile, its smaller sibling – the 5.2-inch Galaxy A5 (2016) – also carries full HD Super AMOLED display, 1.6GHz octa-core processor, 16GB internal storage, 13-megapixels rear camera with OIS, and 5-megapixels front camera. However, the phone is equipped with less RAM at 2GB and smaller 2,900mAh battery.

The smallest model within the series is the Galaxy A3 (2016) although it is not exactly a tiny smartphone since it is equipped with a 4.7-inch HD Super AMOLED display. Powered by 1.5Ghz quad-core processor, it also comes with 1.5GB RAM, 13-megapixels f/1.9 rear camera, 5-megapixels f/1.9 front camera, and 2,300 mAh battery.

How about their prices in Malaysia? Well, that is something we expect Samsung Malaysia to reveal at the Galaxy A Series (2016) launch next week. So, stay tuned then.
