HTC isn’t the most vocal manufacturer as of late – especially in Malaysia – but it has recently released a new teaser for an upcoming launch event. Set to happen next year on 12 January, the teaser only mentioned that it’s something “For U.”
Needless to say, this is a very vague teaser, and the date of the launch event is pretty odd as well. After all, it’s right after CES 2017, and it’s a whole month before MWC 2017; these are two of the largest tech conventions where companies like HTC would usually showcase their new products. Then again, it’s possible that HTC may just be distancing itself from these two huge tech events.
As for the teaser itself, it simply reads “For U,” although the U is also mirrored in the C of HTC’s logo at the bottom right side of the teaser. Could it be a new U series of smartphones from HTC? Or is the company unveiling a new kind of wearable? At the moment, there really is nothing much to gather from the teaser.
Nonetheless, all will be revealed come 12 January 2017. Personally, I’m hoping it’s something related to the HTC Ocean.
