We’re done with heavy and depressing stories on the Tech Tarik Show for a while, and we return to our regular programme this week. Kicking things off is a long discussion about the government mandated Unifi speed upgrade.
Chap updates us on his findings on Unifi, while we wonder if TM could do a better job of communicating with the public. There was a bit of a kerfuffle concerning Telekom Malaysia’s current Unifi promotion, which discreetly provides insights about how the ISP intends to go about the speed upgrade.
We also discover that TM updated the FAQ for the promotion right in the middle of our recording. Fortunately, nothing changed and everything we said on the Tech Tarik show still stands.
The second half of the show has us taking a look at Pebble’s sale to Fitbit. Pang gets excited about what it means for Fitbit’s future, while Farhan uses it as an opportunity to take a swipe at today’s startup culture.
