This week on the podcast, we start off by talking about Xiaomi’s two newly launched devices: the Mi Note 2 and the glorious “concept” smartphone, the Mi Mix. Pang, who was present at the launch event, shares his impressions on the new phones.
We also discuss Microsoft’s latest offerings, namely the new Surface Book and Surface Studio, with Chapree joining the discussion. The Surface Studio’s introduction video was making waves on social media and most of us in the team were salivating as we watched it – especially Pang.
Lastly, the long-awaited refresh of the MacBook Pro lineup has arrived, which should’ve satisfied many. Except, Apple has made several drastic changes to the laptop that may have upset many instead. Andrew was particularly vocal about these changes, with the podcast turning into a rant session at one point.
With their launches so close to one another, it was inevitable that we compared Apple’s latest offerings with Microsoft’s. Which is the more impressive launch? Or is it comparing apples to oranges?
