There are a lot of Malaysians who are working in Singapore and if you are one of them, Digi wants to make it easier for you to roam. The telco recently announced a new RoamBorder roaming plan that lets you roam to Singapore with 5GB of data and 60 minutes of talk time for only RM30 a month; selected subscribers can even enjoy this offer for free.

Digi’s new RoamBorder is available for selected subscribers. For only RM30 a month, you get 5GB of data to use when you are in Singapore, and 60 minutes of talk time for calls to and from Malaysia and Singapore. This is a partnership between Digi and StarHub, so if you sign up for this offer, make sure you are connected to StarHub when you are in Singapore.

What is Digi RoamBorder

“We understand the importance of staying connected and RoamBorder will allow our customers to easily benefit from our partnership with StarHub so that they only need to maintain their Digi mobile phone number. This ensures our customers will enjoy a seamless transition between networks and achieve constant connectivity. In addition, Digi subscribers will receive generous internet roaming quota and calls bundled into the passes enabling them to stay connected to their loved ones at all times.” – Loh Keh Jiat, Digi’s Chief Marketing Officer.

The usual price of Digi RoamBorder is RM30 a month however, as a promotion, the telco is offering a discount of up to RM30 for selected postpaid plans – that means you get 5GB of data and 60 minutes to use in Singapore at absolutely no charge at all.

This special discount is valid until December 2017 however, customers must subscribe to RoamBorder before 1 December 2016. The discounts are as follows:

  • Digi Postpaid plan RM80 above – monthly RM30 discount
  • Digi Postpaid plan RM78/RM80 – monthly RM25 discount
  • Digi Postpaid plan RM78 below – standard price apply

Note: monthly discount is valid only if the RoamBorder is active since subscription day before 1st Dec 2016.

Digi RoamBorder is currently available for roaming in Singapore only. You must have an active International Roaming service and your line must be active at the point of subscription. The 5GB of data and 60 minutes of talk time is only valid for usage in Singapore, domestic usages and quota will be charged and consumed from your domestic plan.

Do note that if you exceed the bundled data and talk time, you will be charged at a pay-per-use basis so do check your usage frequently. If you have already used up the bundle, you can still purchase existing Digi roaming offers such as Roam10.
