Dell has just launched several new laptops in Malaysia with Intel’s latest seventh generation Kaby Lake processors. These include the Vostro 14 5000, Vostro 14 3000, as well as the Latitude 13 3000 convertible laptop – these offerings are aimed at small business owners as well as consumers.

The most interesting laptop of the bunch is definitely the Latitude 13 3000 2-in-1 laptop. For the Malaysian market, this convertible is packed with a 1920 x 1080 Full HD touch display, 8GB of RAM, 256GB of SSD storage, as well as a sixth generation Intel Core i5 processor; it’s worth noting that the Latitude 13 can be configured with more RAM and storage, according to Dell. Yes, although the Vostro laptops launched today ship with Kaby Lake processors, the Latitude 13 still comes with a Skylake-based processor.

Then there’s the Vostro 14 3000 and 5000. The former can be equipped with Intel’s seventh generation processors, a 14-inch display, a dedicated graphics card, up to 8GB of DDR4 RAM as well as 1TB of HDD storage, and an optional fingerprint reader with support for Windows Hello. The Vostro 5000, on the other hand, features a 14-inch 1366 x 768 anti-glare display, Kaby Lake processors, up to 8GB of DDR4 RAM, choices of HDD or SSD storage from 256GB to 1TB, and an optional Nvidia GeForce 940MX GPU.

Both the Dell Latitude 13 3000 and Vostro 14 5000 are now available in Malaysia, with the latter already listed on Dell’s Malaysian online store. The Vostro 14 3000, on the other hand, will only be available in Malaysia from 27 September 2016 onwards. The Latitude 13 3000 retails from RM3,499 (excluding GST), while the Vostro 14 3000 and 5000 are priced from RM2,194 and RM2,399 respectively; it’s worth noting that the retail price of the former does not include GST.
