The most affordable member of the Asus ZenFone 3 family, the ZenFone 3 Max, is now available for purchase in Malaysia via Asus’ official online store.
Just like the ZenFone Max released last year, the main appeal of the ZenFone 3 Max is in its high-capacity battery. At 4,100mAh, it is smaller than last year’s model with 5,000mAh. Like the ZenFone Max also, the ZenFone 3 Max is capable of reverse charging – allowing it to act as a power bank to charge other devices. Plus, Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 works when in reverse charging mode too.
The ZenFone Max sports a 5.2-inch 720p IPS display, a MediaTek MT6735 processor paired with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, a 13MP rear camera, and a rear fingerprint sensor. It also features a metal body.
While the ZenFone 3 family was officially announced in Malaysia back in August, only the mid-range ZenFone 3 is currently available for sale. The ZenFone 3 Max now enters the fray in two colours (Sand Gold and Titanium Grey), and is priced at RM799 (RM100 less than last year’s ZenFone Max). It can be purchased via Asus’ online store, as well as on various retail partners.
