Asus has introduced its latest ZenFone 3 series of smartphones in Malaysia. These include the ZenFone 3 Deluxe, Ultra, Laser, Max, as well as the ZenFone 3. Basically, the whole lineup is launched in Malaysia.
The most interesting of the lot is the ZenFone 3 Deluxe. For the Malaysian market, two variants are available: the Snapdragon 821 and the Snapdragon 820 models. The former comes with a very generous 256GB of UFS 2.0 storage for RM3,299, while the latter has 64GB of storage instead for RM2,599; both models also come with a whopping 6GB RAM.
For those who want something a little…bigger, there’s the ZenFone 3 Ultra with a sizeable 6.8-inch display. Only one variant of the device will be available in Malaysia, which comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage; it retails at RM2,599.
And then we have the ZenFone 3. Unlike the former two devices, the ZenFone 3 has a glass back along with a smaller form factor. Two variants are available here: a 5.5-inch model and a smaller 5.2-inch variant. Both models come with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, and they cost RM1,699 and RM1,499 respectively.
Last but not least are the entry-level ZenFone 3 Laser and Max. Among the devices in the ZenFone 3 series, these two devices were actually first unveiled in Vietnam. The ZenFone 3 Laser for our market comes with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage for RM999, while the ZenFone 3 Max is packed with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage for RM799; this makes it the most affordable device in the ZenFone 3 family.
Right now, only the Asus ZenFone 3 is available for purchase in Malaysia, while the ZenFone 3 Ultra is up for pre-order at Asus’ ongoing Zenvolution event. The other devices in the ZenFone 3 series will be made available sometime this month.
