When the landmark collaboration between iflix and TM was announced in December 2015, the deal includes both Unifi and Streamyx customers. While Unifi customers are able to enjoy their free 1-year iflix subscription within the same month, it was not the case for Streamyx customers. Now, the wait is finally over.
Earlier this month, iflix has revealed through its social media channels that Streamyx subscribers are now able to enjoy the free 1-year subscription to its service. At the same time, TM apparently has also sent similar notice to its customers via e-mail.
Similar to Unifi and other telco customers that have been enjoy their free iflix benefits, Streamyx users are able to obtain the free subscription just by visiting iflix official website or mobile apps while being connected to their Streamyx network. Access to the service will then be granted once iflix’s back end system able to detect and verify that the said users are indeed on Streamyx network.
As per our report eight months ago, the free 1-year iflix subscription is only available for Streamyx users with 4Mbps and 8Mbps connection. If you are on 2Mbps line, you are out of luck unfortunately.
