UPDATE (15 July, 11AM): Rejoice, Final Fantasy fans! The movie is still coming to Malaysia, after all! Check out this article for further details.

When we reported that Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV will be shown in Malaysia next month earlier this week, it seems to have generated a lot of interests from our readers. However, it seems that the movie has now been delisted by Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC) as well as GSC Movies which is the film distribution subsidiary of the cinema company.

This is due to the fact that pretty much all the references to Kingsglaive has been removed from both GSC and GSC Movies website without any explanation. That being said, we still managed to salvage the poster that was published on GSC Movies website that clearly stated the release date of the movie in Malaysia:

Here are also screenshot of the Kingsglaive listing on GSC and GSC Movies websites alongside Google Search result that showed the movie’s references by GSC Movies before it was delisted:

Google Search results for GSC Movies and Kingsglaive on 13 July.

Despite the removal though, the popular Cinema Online portal still has Kingsglaive inside its listing. Meanwhile, we have reached out to GSC once again regarding the status of Kingsglaive for our market even though the company has yet to response to the original e-mail that we sent earlier this week.

We have also attempted to contact the Singapore-based anime distributor ODEX, which has its logo appeared on the poster above in order to get more insights regarding the movie release in Malaysia. So, let’s see how it goes then.
