Razer BlackWidow X Tournament Edition Finally in Malaysia, Retails at Only RM319

Back when the Razer BlackWidow X mechanical keyboard was officially introduced in late March this year, one particular model of the keyboard was not available for purchase yet: the BlackWidow X Tournament Edition. Now, the keyboard is listed on Razer’s Malaysia online site, and it’s pretty affordable.

The BlackWidow X Tournament Edition is the most affordable variant in the BlackWidow X lineup. That being the case, it doesn’t feature any form of backlight, which isn’t all that surprising. However, this keyboard does come with Cherry MX Blue switches; a favourite among fans of mechanical keyboards.

Oddly enough, the BlackWidow X Tournament Edition can only be purchased with MX Blue switches. There is no variant of the model that comes with Razer’s own mechanical switches; this is the same case with the Ultimate variant of the keyboard. Chances are, this is Razer’s way of positioning its own switches as the more premium offerings. After all, the company’s switches are supposedly rated at 80-million keystrokes, while Cherry’s switches are rated at only 50-million.

Those who are looking to get an affordable Cherry MX Blue mechanical keyboard should definitely check out the Razer BlackWidow X Tournament Edition; it’s one of the most affordable MX Blue keyboards in the market. Retailing at RM319, the BlackWidow X Tournament Edition can be purchased now on Razer’s Malaysia online store.
