Just in case you don’t already have enough photo storage apps that helps create video clips for you, here’s another one from Facebook. The social networking company recently introduced a new feature for its main iOS app called “Slideshow”, that helps turn your mobile photos and videos into a short clip complete with themes and music.
All you need to do is take five or more photos or videos in 24 hours and Facebook will create a personalised video clip for you. You can then customise it further by picking a theme and music that is suitable for the clip – say a vibrant theme with perky music for your recent BBQ with a bunch of friends, or a nostalgic theme for all your childhood pictures.
This isn’t new of course, Slideshow was first introduced in Facebook’s Moments app. Facebook has been working to help improve sharing videos on its platform, and by putting Slideshow on its main app, it can encourage users to share more videos. It also makes it easier for friends to view a set of pictures because it’s definitely easier and more entertaining to watch a video than to browse through an album full of pictures.
Slideshow is currently being rolled out for iOS users so if you don’t see it yet, be patient and try again in a few days.
