The Samsung Gear S2 was by far the best smartwatch the Korean giant has ever released. Needless to say, it’ll be exciting to see what the successor to the Gear S2 will offer. Well, if a recent leak is to be believed, the Gear S3 will be sporting…a rather classic design.
These supposed images of the Gear S3 came from Twitter user “@esse1000k,” which appears to be a Korean entity of some sorts. Although the two images shared by the individual aren’t exactly high quality, we can sort of make out the overall design of the alleged Gear S3.

Instead of a more modern and “techy” design, the Gear S3 pictured in these images look a lot like a Rolex, right down to the gold case and band design. Evidently, it is a huge change over the appearance of the Gear S2, although the rotatable bezel seems to be retained.

More likely than not, the wearable in these images is not the Samsung Gear S3, although we can’t exactly say for sure. After all, it’s possible that this is merely a different variant of the Gear S3. Then again, the wearable’s striking resemblance to a Rolex timepiece may not sit very well with the watchmaker.
