Aside from the liquid-cooled Switch Alpha 12, Acer has also brought in plenty of other devices that the company has launched at its recent press briefing in New York to Acer Malaysia’s launch event today. Such devices include the new Aspire S 13 notebook which weights at only 1.3kg with a thickness of 14.58mm.
Powered by the 2.3 GHz Intel Core i5-6200U processor, the Aspire S 13 is also built with 13.3-inch full HD (1,920 x 1,080) IPS display and battery life of up to 11 hours. In Malaysia, it is available with 4GB RAM and 128GB SSD for RM 2,799 while the 8GB RAM and 256GB model costs RM 3,399.
At the same time, there is also the convertible Aspire R 15 which features a 360-degrees hinge that allows it to be utilized in several form factor including standard notebook, flat, reverse display, and tablet. Priced at RM 2,999, it also comes with 15.6-inch IPS touch display, 2.3GHz Intel Core i5-6200U, 4GB DDR4 RAM, and 1TB hard drive, together with up to 9 hours of battery life.
Acer Malaysia has also announced the arrival of the 2016 Aspire F 15 laptops in Malaysia which combines stylish metallic aesthetic and powerful mid-range hardware. For RM 2,699, it offers 15.6-inch full HD (1,920 x 1,080) display, 4GB DDR4 RAM, 128GB solid state drive, and 1TB hard drive alongside 2.3GHz Intel Core i5-6200U processor and NVIDIA GeForce 940MX with 4GB GDDR5 VRAM.
For those who require more firepower on their 2016 Aspire F 15 laptop, they can opt for another variant that carries 2.5GHz Intel Core i7-6500U processor and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950M GPU with 4GB GDDR5 VRAM for RM 3,499.
Acer has also brought the refreshed edition of its entry level E Series laptops into Malaysia which comes in two screen sizes: 14-inch with 1,366 x 768 resolution (E 14) and 15.6-inch with 1,920 x 1,080 resolution (E 15). However, they do share the same general specifications: 2.3GHz Intel Core i5-6200U processor, NVIDIA GeForce 940MX GPU 2GB GDDR5 VRAM, 4GB DDR4 RAM, and 1TB hard drive.
As for pricing, the E 14 goes for RM 2,199 while E 15 is priced at RM 2,399. That being said, the E 14 does have a higher-end variant that features higher amount of GDDR4 VRAM at 4GB and additional 128GB solid state drive for RM 2,499. Consumers are able to get their hands on these new Acer laptops in Malaysia immediately.
