Electronic Arts is preparing to announce the next installment in the Battlefield franchise, and this time around it is being extra generous. The game publisher has announced that it will be giving away Battlefield 4 and Battlefield Hardline expansion packs as part of its On The House promotion.
This week sees the Battlefield 4 add-on Dragon’s Teeth, which adds four infantry focused maps and a game mode to the base title. There is also the addition of a new light vehicle. Battlefield Hardline players will also be able to pick up the Robbery expansion. Like Dragon’s Teeth, this adds four new maps and a completely new game mode.
Nothing is known about which expansion will be given away next. It is presumed that the weekly giveaways will continue until E3, where EA will announce the next Battlefield game. Naturally, rumours of what the new setting will be have already been floating around. Some sources are saying that the series will feature a return to World War 2; with an emphasis on the Eastern Front.
Battlefield 4 and Battlefield Hardline are available on the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PC, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4. The Road to Battlefield promotion is available for all platforms, and users will have to visit the microsite to learn more.
