True to its promise, Microsoft today has officially launched its brand new Surface Pro 4 in Malaysia. The new device is the sixth member of the Surface family to be released in our shores after the original Surface RT, Surface Pro, Surface 2, Surface Pro 3, and Surface 3.
As per our previous report, here are the pricing for Surface Pro 4 as well as related accessories in Malaysia:
The new tablet as well as related accessories can be obtained immediately through Microsoft Malaysia’s online store on Lazada as well as Microsoft Authorized Reseller Stores in Suria KLCC, Plaza Low Yat, Gardens Mall, Sunway Pyramid, The Curve, One Utama, Pavilion, Bukit Tinggi, and The3 Mines. Other Microsoft authorized retailers and commercial resellers will begin selling it starting next week.
So, what happened to Surface Pro 3 and Surface 3 now that Surface Pro 4 is here in Malaysia? According to Bruce Howe, General Manager of Consumer Channels Group for Microsoft Malaysia, Surface Pro 3 is now considered as a discontinued product and the stocks for it will not be replenished anymore.
Surface 3 on another hand will remain on sale as its hardware and price point are meant for different type of users in the market. As for Surface Book, there is no plan for release in Malaysia at the moment.
