Seems like the Nexus 5X isn’t off to a very good start. On Reddit, a handful of users who have just received their unit of the brand new Nexus device are not thrilled about the display. According to them, their Nexus 5X’s have a very yellowish screen.
The image above shows just how different the display of two Nexus 5Xs can be. While it’s unrealistic to think that two units of a device is identical to each other, the colour temperature of both smartphones above are very dissimilar, which shouldn’t be the case.
Thankfully, those who ordered their unit of the Nexus 5X from the Google Play Store have managed to secure a replacement. Unfortunately, the very same users reported that their replacement have an even more yellowish display. Here are two more images showing the yellow tint of the Nexus 5X’s display:

While there is no indication that the Nexus 5X will be available in Malaysia officially, parallel importers will almost definitely have it in stock one way or another. The issue is, unsuspecting Malaysian consumers may not realise that there is no official warranty that comes with the device from these importers. If there’s any issue with the device, there’s a good chance the seller won’t be able to do anything, so take note.
