Staying true to its promise during the official virtual press launch earlier this month, Alcatel OneTouch has officially announced the availability of its new Flash 2 smartphone in Malaysia. Claimed to be one of the best camera phone in its class, the new smartphone will be released in Malaysia later this month.
Specifically, the new Alcatel Flash 2 will be made available exclusively through Lazada Malaysia for the next two and half months starting from 26 October onwards for RM 549. Covered with a 12-month warranty, a flash sale for the device will be held on its launch day at the established online retailer.
For those who are wondering what Flash 2 is all about, it is generally a mid-range smartphone that focuses greatly on photography. One of its key feature is the gSight rear camera which is equipped with 13-megapixels Samsung S5K3M2 ISOCELL sensor that is accompanied with 5-elements f/2.0 lens, phase detection autofocus capability, and dual LED flash.
Other than that, the new smartphone is also equipped with a front camera called Profie Cam that is equipped with a 5-megapixels OmniVision OV6548 sensor, and f/2.2 wide-angle lens. In addition to its soft light LED flash, what made the Profie Cam slightly different from other front camera out there is that it is actually an autofocus camera.
Apart from its photography components, the rest of the device seems to be rather decent on paper which include 5-inch 720p IPS display, a 1.3GHz MediaTek MTK6753 octa-core 64-bit processor, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB internal storage which can be expanded further through microSD card of up to 128GB in capacity. Not to forget, the LTE-enabled smartphones also comes with 3,000 mAh battery.
