Pebble has finally started shipping out the Pebble Time Steel to its Kickstarter backers. If you wish to get your hands on one, it’s not too late to do so as the company opens up the preorder for the rest of us.
First up, for those who backed the Pebble Time Steel on Kickstarter, it’s time to check into your pledge for a tracking code. Pebble says that the estimate time for all backers to have their tracking number for their Pebble Time Steel is no later than the end of September.
Wish to get a Pebble Time Steel of your own? You may now do so at pebble.com (free shipping to Malaysia). A traditional Pebble Time Steel comes with a genuine Italian leather band, and an extra steel band costs US$49.90. Pebble Time Steel will ship in 6 to 8 weeks after backer reward shipments are complete.
Pebble Time Steel was announced just one week after the company took the curtains off the Pebble Time. They have the same coloured e-ink display and the same new interface, however, the Pebble Time Steel has a classier look thanks to its metal design. In addition to that, the Pebble Time Steel has a laminated display, which eliminates the slight air gap that the Pebble Time has, making it look even better than before.
