It looks like Xiaomi is not the only player in the market with a very affordable smart band. Micromax recently launched the YuFit, a fitness band that goes head to head with Xiaomi’s Mi Band, priced at only INR999 – that’s about the same price as the Mi Band at RM60.
On top of tracking the usual things like fitness, weight and steps, YuFit can also track the calorie counts of Indian food. As with most wearables in the market, it will rely on a smartphone app (available for Android and iOS) for users to track and analyse their activity.
The band itself comes with a touch-sensitive OLED display to show time, activity record and task reminder. It is also waterproof so wearers can go about their daily activities without worrying about the band.
The YuFit band will go on sale on 29 July 2015 on Amazon.in for INR999. Micromax says that the first 1,000 customers will get free assistance from dedicated fitness coaches. Check out the product page for more information.
