Video Games Live 2015

Things might have been rather rocky for Video Games Live (VGL) Malaysia 2015 for the past few days as they might have to relocate and reschedule the show after the management of Putra Stadium has apparently decided to renovate the stadium starting from August. As it turns out though, things are now back on track for VGL Malaysia 2015 as the renovation will only begin after the concert has taken place.

This good news was first conveyed via a phone call yesterday by the Leslie Jeyam, the director of 11 to 11 Events which is the organizer of VGL Malaysia 2015. In other words, the concert will still take place at Putra Stadium on 29 August as per what the company has originally planned.  The company has also updated VGL Malaysia’s page on Facebook  to inform concert goers.

This fact was further confirmed by Stadium Malaysia Corporation through a separate statement earlier today by its Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Khairul Azhar:

In preparation for the recently announced, Malaysia as the host country of SEA GAMES 2017, Kompleks Sukan Negara Bukit Jalil will be closed for renovation to turn it into a world class facility for the event. The closure of the stadiums will be held in stages as this is subject to the amount of work that needs to be done. For now, we can confirm that National Stadium and Putra Stadium will be closed from end of August.

An official announcement will be made soon and we will keep you posted on any further development. As far as Video Games Live Malaysia is concerned, the organizer may still proceed with their event in Putra Stadium on August 29.

Well, now that VGL’s venue issue has been put down to rest, let’s hope for a great show by VGL and National Symphony Orchestra at Putra Stadium this coming August. For further details regarding tickets to the show, head on to 11pass11.com/ticketing.
